KAPOS and Decole’s Small Accessories

At acupuncture clinic KAPOS, we incorporate small accessories from Decole into our waiting area and treatment rooms!

This year marks the 12th anniversary since we opened our acupuncture clinic in 2013. In fact, these charming items have been with us since the very beginning.

Decole is a Japanese manufacturer known for its adorable and uniquely designed accessories. Their products have a subtle sense of humor and a nostalgic charm, making them beloved by many fans. With sesasonal themes throughout the year, their small figurines and decorations bring warmth and comfort just by looking at them.

Our acupuncture clinic KAPOS, is located in a corner of Shinagawa’s office district. While an office building provides convenience, it often feels cold and impersonal. Wanting to create a more welcoming and homey atmosphere, we chose Decole—thanks to the intuitive decision of Director Kurihara’s wife. Today, Decole’s products have become an essential part of our clinic.

For instance, we display Decole figurines at the reception desk, changing them with the seasons. Currently, for the New Year, we have cat figurines dressed as oshiruko (sweet red bean soup). In summer, you’ll find animals enjoying watermelon, while Christmas brings festive-themed characters. Many patients comment, “Oh, this is so cute!” when they see them. In that moment, their expressions soften, and we can feel their tension ease.

Looking into the origin of the name Decole, it appears to be a combination of Decoration and Collection. The brand embodies the idea that “even small decorations can bring color to a space and create special moments.” This philosophy resonates with our approach to acupuncture—each treatment we provide aims to bring a little more color and comfort into our patients’ lives.

In an office building where the atmosphere can easily become sterile, we want to create a space where people can feel at ease.
